Enriching outdoor recreation and education for every visitor.
Our Vision
A trail for every ability.
Spending time is nature is beneficial to our bodies and minds. It sparks wonder, offers relief from stress, and encourages physical activity.
Many people with disabilities face challenges accessing outdoor experiences for recreation, quiet reflection, and sensory-rich learning. The Accessible Sensory Nature Trail Project aims to develop a destination to meet this need.
Imagine
…the chance to see nature from dramatic perspectives—from a walkway stretching up toward the tree canopy to an up-close view into a beaver’s lodge.
…intentional spaces of sanctuary that calm the mind and engage the senses with the gentle sounds and rhythms of the natural world.
…every visitor welcomed to experience the changing seasons without constraints in a place that guides them along paths for immersive learning and fun.
